Hudba Video a Filmy do TS2
Návod: Vlastní hudba, filmy a video hry
Chtěli byste mít ve hře vlastní hudbu, video v televizi nebo vlastní hru? Jediné co potřebujete je mít vlastní materiály - tzn. nějakou tu hudbu a videa, které si tam chcete dát, všechno ostatní (jak to do hry dostat) se dozvíte v tomto návodu. Přejdeme rovnou k věci:
Muzika
Musíte si připravit vlastní hudbu, které se potom musí překopírovat do jednotlivých adresářů, podle toho do jakého z nich hudbu nahrajete, ovlivníte kde bude potom hrát. Tady vám přináším přehled adresářů, jaký co označuje.

| /nhood | muzika, jste-li v sousedství |
| /pop | v rádiu, přepnout na pop |
| /rnb | v rádiu přepnout na R&B |
| /salsa | v rádiu, přepnout na salsu |
| /techno | v rádiu, přepnout na techno |
Podle tabulky si zjistíte, kde chcete aby vám daná písnička hrála a stačí ji následně do zvoleného adresáře zkopírovat. Všechny adresáře se nachází v Dokumentech ve složce EA Games\The Sims 2\Music\... Aby vám ve hře hráli, musí být ve formátu *.wav nebo *.mp3 . Potom si ve hře zobrazením možností (F5 - je to nabídka kde je i uložení a opuštění hry) dáte Nastavení zvuku. V této nabídce by se vám měli pod příslušnou kategorií objevit vaše písničky a to i s název. Můžete zde také zrušit přehrávání těch základních odškrtnutím kolečka...
Filmy / TV programy
Také televizní programy si můžete upravit dle své libosti. Simové se tak můžou koukat na jakýkoli film či nějaké jiné vaše video... Ovšem video, které chcete do hry dát musí splnit trochu více podmínek než tomu bylo u hudby. Musí být pouze ve formátu *.avi , rozlišení videa musí být 248x248 pixelů, pokud bude větší, nakonec z něho bude "vystřižen" pouze takovýto prostor z prostředku. Poslední hlavní podmínka se týká zvukové stopy u videa. Ta může mít maximálně 44,100 kHz / 8 bits / stereo (87 KB / sec). Jestliže všechny tyto podmínky splníte, již vám nic nebrání se pustit do samotného zkopírování videa do hry. Je to vlastně úplně stejné jako v případě písniček. Máte zde opět tabulku a kde chcete video mít, tak tam ho zkopírujte. Tyto složky se nachází opět v Dokumentech ve složce EA Games\The Sims 2\Movies\Broadcast\....

Video hry
Tady to bude docela podobné jako s videem do televize. Musíte si ho úplně stejně připravit jako v minulém případě, ale taky to je komplikovanější, že tady musíte mít více souborů(sekvencí) pokud chcete udělat opravdu kompletní video hru. Sekvencí potřebujete celkem 6 - intro, samotnou hru, vítězství a prohru pro jednoho nebo 2 hráče.
Pojmenování samotných souborů je tady také přesně stanoveno. Všechny videa, co se týkají jedné video hry musí začínat stejnou zkratkou. To je například sc4 nebo ssx (to byl příklad pro změnu her SimCity4 a SSX. Prakticky to je například sc4_ATTRACT.avi nebo ssx_P2LOSE.avi. Vždy to za zkratkou značí o jakou část té video hry se jedná. Zde máte opět tabulku (přehled) všech názvů částí, které tam můžete doplnit.

| ? Zkratka _P2LOSE.avi | krátký film - poražení (při hře 2 simů společně) |
| ? Zkratka _P2WIN.avi | krátný film - vítěz (při hře 2 simů společně) |
Až si filmy uděláte a takto přejmenujete, zkopírujte je opět do Dokumentů do složky EA Games\The Sims 2\Movies\Games\... a ještě jednou připomínám - nezapomeňte, že je potřeba, aby všech 6 souborů měli na začátku stejnou zkratku.
